Move Forward with Polarity

What is Polarity Therapy?
The core of polarity therapy is hands-on energy balancing that works with the body’s energy systems to promote balance and wellness on the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual levels.  Energy fields and currents exist everywhere in nature. Polarity Therapy asserts that the flow and balance of energy in the human body is the foundation of good health and well being.

In the Polarity model, health is experienced when:

  • Energy systems function in their natural state, and
  • Energy flows smoothly without significant blockage or fixation.

When energy is unbalanced, blocked or fixed due to stress or other factors, pain and disease arise.

What can I expect in a polarity session?

In a typical session, the practitioner assesses energetic attributes using palpation, observation and interview methods. Sessions involve soft touch, rocking, point specific touch, and stretching, and clients remain clothed.

By using Energetic Touch, the Polarity Practitioner works to restore balance to your energy systems. During the session, he supports the client in increasing self-awareness and discovery. The results of Polarity Therapy sessions vary, and may include profound relaxation, an understanding of energetic patterns and their implications, and relief from numerous specific problematic situations such as hypertension, anxiety attacks and breathing disorders.

As Colin says: We generally begin with some talk time, during which we’ll discuss what’s showing up for you and what you’d like to focus on during the time on the massage table. After, we’ll discuss what you experienced and what if any information I picked up.

How much is a session?

An individual polarity session is $250 for approximately 90 minutes, and you can pay by check, cash, or electronically (Venmo, Paypal, Zelle). Additional time is billed in 30 minute increments.

Polarity-based Coaching

As a polarity practitioner, I am also always a coach. Combining the two modalities creates a powerful space for awareness, growth, development, and wellness. I partner with clients who wish to focus on specific goals, intentions, and issues over a period of time using both polarity and coaching to achieve breakthroughs in a variety of areas such as:

    • Personal goals and development (relationships, self-love & care, releasing negative ways of being, mind/body/spirit, life purpose exploration, etc.)
    • Professional success and achievement, career focus, preparation for promotion, etc.
    • Health concerns
    • Work/life balance and integration

A typical polarity-based coaching program is a minimum of 3 months and would involve clear goal setting for the program, bi-weekly polarity-coaching sessions of 60-90 minutes, observational and experiential practices for the client in between sessions that we will create together, sharing of relevant resources, and email/phone access and support throughout the program. Feel free to contact me and we can design a program for your specific needs.

What clients are saying

“Polarity therapy is like someone doing my meditation for me, and I just get to lie there and enjoy it.” — Andrew C.

“While polarity therapy remains a bit of a mystery to me, I have really learned to appreciate and even enjoy that ambiguity. What is clear is Colin’s gift for guiding me through that each time, and the way I am after a session: restored, energized, calm.” — Joanie R.

“I wasn’t sure how I would benefit from Polarity Therapy, but I was more relaxed and centered immediately following the session. I also fell asleep that same evening without any problems, which was new for me, and I felt lighter afterwards as if my burdens were being carried by more than myself.  It was an experience of good energy being given and sad and negative energy being removed. Thank you, Colin.” — Joan F.
